White House Meats was started in Windsor, Ont., in 1953. The business moved to Toronto in the early 1970s and became a fixture of the Market. The present owners took over in 1990 and continued to offer the same top quality meat products and great service that made White House Meats one of the best butcher shops. Since then, the product line has expanded to include one of the largest selections of game meats available anywhere. The business has expanded in the last few years to stores in the Leaside and Kingsway areas.

White House Meats' featured products are well-aged beef, fresh pork, farm-raised Ontario lamb, milk-fed veal, free-range chicken, Top Meadow Farms naturally raised beef, free-range turkey and storemade sausages. White House is known for its large selection of game birds: pheasant, squab, Guinea fowl, quail, partridge, duck and goose. They also carry game meats such as venison, buffalo, elk, ostrich, wild boar, musk ox, kangaroo, and wild rabbit.

They also offer prepared items such as stuffed chicken breast, marinated flat chicken, marinated boneless breast, Weiner schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, chicken cordon blue, ready-made burgers, marinated lamb legs, marinated flank steak, and pork pinwheel piccatta. Stanley & Leila cater and supply products for cooking shows to chefs and the media.
